Privacy Policy
Effective: 4 September 2026
This is a personal OAuth client for one owner. Google user data is handled locally by the Omamail desktop application and is not sent to this website or to a separate application backend.
Scope
This policy applies to the private Google OAuth configuration named “Private Omamail Client” and to this informational website. The client is not offered as a public or commercial service.
Google data accessed
With the owner's explicit consent, the desktop application may access:
- Gmail messages, message metadata, labels, and mailbox state in order to display and organize mail;
- permission to compose and send Gmail messages only when initiated by the owner;
- Google Calendar event data in order to display, create, update, or delete the owner's events.
Use of data
Google user data is used only to provide the local email and calendar features requested by the owner. It is not used for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, training generalized AI models, or any unrelated purpose.
Storage and security
- The OAuth refresh token is stored locally in GNOME Keyring.
- Short-lived access tokens are held in local process memory.
- Mailbox, profile, and calendar content may be cached locally on the owner's computer for application functionality.
- This website and VPS do not receive or store OAuth tokens, email content, calendar content, or Google account data.
Sharing and transfers
Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with the site operator, advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. The desktop client communicates directly with Google APIs. External message resources are contacted only when the owner explicitly requests an action such as loading a remote image or following an unsubscribe link.
Retention and deletion
Tokens and cached data remain under the owner's control on the owner's computer. The owner can revoke access from Google Account permissions, sign out of Omamail to remove the stored token, and delete Omamail's local cache and configuration.
This website
This website has no accounts, cookies, analytics, advertising, forms, or application-level access logging. Hosting and network providers may temporarily process ordinary connection metadata for security and reliable delivery.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Contact
Privacy and support inquiries can be sent to the project-owner support address displayed on the Google OAuth consent screen.
Changes
This policy will be updated if the OAuth scopes, data handling, or operation of the client materially changes.
